John and Luke Efting of Cedar Rapids just discovered they have something in common with WWE wrestler Seth Rollins.

They all get nervous.

“I get butterflies before all my matches. You know that little feeling in your belly when you get really nervous? It never goes away, even when you get as old as me, it never goes away,” Rollins, a native of the tiny town of Buffalo, just southeast of Davenport on the Mississippi, told the boys over the phone on Thursday afternoon.

John and Luke – twin 10 year old professional wrestling fans – had that same “kind of butterflies” feeling while they waited for the phone to ring with Rollins on the other line.

John felt “a little nervous, but it got better once I started talking to him.”

“It just got normal,” Luke added.

If normal is talking to one of your idols on the phone while your classmates are taking a math test? Yup. Totally normal.

Along with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, Rollins is one third of The Shield, a professional wrestling trio that debuted in 2012.

They are on the ticket Saturday for WWE Live Road to Wrestlemania at the U.S. Cellular Center. The Shield with take on Big Show in a 3 on 1 handicap match. Also wrestling will be Daniel Bryan versus Kane and a six man tag team match with Sheamus and The Usos versus Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family.

Growing up in Iowa made him the man he is today, Rollins told the twins.

“I think growing up in this area with the kind of people that live around here, the personality in the region, … made me a little more humble, made me a little more friendly, helped me kind of in my interactions with people,” he says. “I really do think growing up in a small town in Iowa was beneficial as far as helping me develop who I was as a person.”

Rollins may fight for a living. But, anyone who tells two 10-year-olds: “I got all day for you guys, ask as many questions as you want…” that’s definitely Iowa nice.

No match for the hounds this week on SmackDown but the three were backstage having a discussion about their recent match losses. Dean is blamed for the losses but Seth quickly takes control of the situation. Yelling “ZIP IT” ,he quickly gets the attention of his cohorts and gets everyone pumped up to face the Wyatts in the ring. They refuse to let Bray Wyatt just move on from them.

The Shield nearly interrupts the end of Bray Wyatts promo and stand facing their rivals. Triple H enters and informs everyone he will not let this match just happen again “right here right now”. He announces the Shield will face the Wyatts once more on Monday Night Raw. Triple H tells the Shield to stand down before leaving.

Dean and Seth have other ideas as they both perform running dives onto Harper and Rowan. They run back to the ring, where Bray refuses to confront them and instead backs off.

The Shield backstage segment
The Shield backstage is in the middle of arguing and questioning Dean Ambrose on where he was during the Chamber match up last night. Ambrose disappeared for the ending of the match after brawling with Bray Wyatt in the crowd. Ambrose angrily replies that he’s explained himself enough times and walks off camera after complaining about how no one trusts him. Seth Rollins begins complaining to Roman Reigns about the situation but the Wyatt’s suddenly appear from the shadows behind the Shield two. Reigns challenges Bray to a match with no one else at ringside causing Bray to call him an “interesting creature” and he accepts the challenge.

Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt
Reigns with his explosive moves tries to power through Bray Wyatt and he’s not the least bit intimidated. Soon the Wyatt entrance hits and Rowan and Harper arrive. Seth Rollins explodes out of nowhere to take out the two on the floor. A brawl breaks out and Ambrose comes running out on the attack and causes the DQ. The Shield stands staring their enemies down as the back away from the ramp.

The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family

This much anticipated match finally arrives and Seth starts off his portion of the match by getting bulldozed by Rowan who then drags Seth back the Wyatt corner by his hair. Reigns gets in against Bray Wyatt next who throws fists into the chin of Reigns knocking the big man to his knees. Ambrose gets in Harper and gives Ambrose a big drop kick and tags in Bray. When Rollins gets back into the match up he nearly gets knocked of by Rowan, Harper then tries to knock Seth flying but Seth counters…flipping mid-air and landing on his feet. After knocking his adversary out of the ring he dives between the second and third ropes and knocks down Rowan. He takes the opportunity to play to the very pumped up crowd. The crowd goes wild chanting “this is awesome”. The big cheers die down a little when the Shield loses control as Seth gets beat on by the Wyatt family. One after another take turns breaking down Seth’s high flying offense.

Ambrose interrupts the pin and Seth finally manages to regain ground. Harper sees stars as Seth counters with his enziguri. As things break down outside of the ring Seth dismantles the announce desk. Before he can do anything he gets hit from behind by Bray Wyatt. Ambrose soon pushes himself into the battle-knocking himself and Bray over the ringside barricade and fighting off into the crowd. They both disappear out of site. Some time later Bray is back in the match and Ambrose is MIA. The Wyatts turn the attention to mugging Seth. Rowan and Harper hoist him up while standing on the Raw announce desk. They lift Rollins far into the air and launch him into the Spanish announce desk. Seth lies there holding his head and soon not moving. Reigns is left alone in the ring with the entire Wyatt family and nearly clears house. After using his strength to counter sister abigail once he is unable to keep it up as the numbers game catches him.
He takes sister-abigail from Bray Wyatt and the Wyatts gain the victory.
