Seth Rollins def. Sami Zayn- Short Recap
WWE Champion Dean Ambrose joined the SmackDown announce team as he watched one of his two WWE Battleground challengers, Seth Rollins, battle Sami Zayn in an explosive main event showdown. The Underdog from the Underground’s daredevil style pushed an embattled Rollins to the limit, but The Architect ultimately prevailed after pouncing on his opponent with an emphatic Pedigree for the victory.
After the contest, a heated Rollins got into The Lunatic Fringe’s face before unleashing sneak attack with a series of strikes. The unstable Ambrose responded with a frenzied assault before nearly hitting Dirty Deeds on Rollins, who frantically escaped.

SmackDown – May 26th (In Ring Segment)
Well, Seth made a very short and not so sweet return to SmackDown where he simply decided to ask the crowd if they missed him. A predictable array of cheers came from part of the crowd as he then said, “Well I didn’t miss you” and waltzed out of the ring contently. The announcers on commentary say “that’s it?!” And Seth laughs to himself all the way to the back concluding perhaps his shortest TV appearance in some time.

Seth Rollins is Assigned An Opponent (by Corporate Kane)
Reinstated after being suspended for Raw, Corporate Kane wasted little time putting Seth Rollins into a match — but the Director of Operations left the opponent’s identity secret. He also warned The Architect not to run out on the match like he did Monday on Raw because he never would know who would be there to stop him. Kane also opted to put The New Day into a main event showdown against Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose.
Rollins’ opponent turned out to be Cesaro! And when the action seemed to get a little too hot for the titleholder, he decided to take a walk — only to stop when he remembered Kane’s earlier warning.
Despite the Director of Operations’ mind game and a hard-fought offense by The Swiss Superman, in the end, Rollins was able to knock his powerful opponent off the ropes and hit the Pedigree for the victory.

Seth Rollins Celebrates Making History
Seth Rollins was in his usual boastful form on SmackDown, gloating about his greatness and going so far to say Hollywood stars like Brad Pitt and Channing Tatum would line up to play him in a movie about his story. The WWE World Heavyweight Champion also clearly still tasted some sour grapes as he claimed that Sting was jealous of him.

A fired up Rollins then guaranteed that he will not only defeat The Icon at Night of Champions in their WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match, but he would also finish what Triple H started and crush The Stinger’s “old bones to dust.”
