Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose Talk Backstage
After Dean Ambrose surprisingly challenged Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins greets his partner backstage and hands him a pack of ice. He tells Dean that sometimes he just needs to chill out and relax, think a little bit. He says Dean should have let him know of his intentions to face Braun so he could have his back. Dean Ambrose on the other hand feels that Seth could think less and thereby be less predictable. Seth starts to tell Dean off, but Dean cuts him off and finishes his sentence for him. Seth comments “okay that was good, but I bet you won’t know what I’m going to say next.” Seth declares that he will visit Kurt Angle and he will challenge Braun next week on Raw. Dean chuckles and said “I didn’t know you were going to say that.” Seth then heads off for his match with Sheamus, Dean wishes him luck and says he’ll be watching. As Seth leaves, Dean mumbles “that Braun thing probably wasn’t a good idea though.”
Seth Rollins def. Sheamus
Under ordinary circumstances, having Dean Ambrose banged-up in the locker room might put Seth Rollins at a disadvantage against Sheamus. But The Celtic Warrior’s tag-team partner, Cesaro, was reduced to moral support in a suit thanks to his gruesome dental injury, which put the bout on an even keel.
And, in this case, it was Rollins who came away with the win. Not that Sheamus didn’t give him a fight; The Celtic Warrior did his best to repay Rollins for The Swiss Cyborg’s injury, targeting The Kingslayer’s face with a vicious variety of kicks and knees. Rollins ended up landing the blows that counted, connecting twice with Sheamus’ face — first with a kick, then the ripcord knee for three.

The Tag Team Division Brawls
Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins’ unlikely reunion and Raw Tag Team Title run has held the rest of the division at bay for weeks, but in a confrontation between champions and challengers, Cesaro & Sheamus declared the “nostalgia ride” will only last until the two “brothers” remember they can’t stand each other. Add Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson into the mix and toss ‘em in a Triple Threat, and it turns out “The Bar” might be right to think the champs aren’t as bulletproof as they seem.
Granted, The Architect and The Lunatic Fringe don’t seem to hate each other anymore — the only thing that really sets Ambrose off is being called a nerd — but Ambrose & Rollins made their first significant mistake as a team all the same.
After suffering a Magic Killer and “The Bar’s” spin on a 3D, The Kingslayer finally reached Ambrose, and the champions took everyone out with a pair of synchronized suicide dives. But Sheamus sneakily tagged himself in right before The Lunatic Fringe hit Dirty Deeds on Anderson, tossed Ambrose from the ring and stole the pinfall. Score one for “The Bar,” but they’ll likely need a little more than opportune timing to regain the Raw Tag Team Championship come Sunday.

The Tag Team Division Brawls
It’s every tag team for themselves on Team Red. A week after Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson threw down against Cesaro & Sheamus, who are next in line for Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins’ Raw Tag Team Titles, a match was sanctioned between “The Bar” and the good brothers, only it never quite got off the ground after Cesaro & Sheamus got into it with the champs at the commentary table. Gallows & Anderson were quick to join the scuffle, which led to a massive three-way brawl among the teams.
Ambrose & Rollins were game for a match against both tandems, but Raw General Manager Kurt Angle, looking to keep his champions in one piece as WWE No Mercy approaches, offered a compromise instead: Find another team to join them, and they would get to tee off on Cesaro, Sheamus, Gallows and Anderson all they wanted in an Eight-Man Tag Team Match.
Seth Rollins/Dean Ambrose & The Hardys def. Cesaro/Sheamus & Gallows/Anderson
Cesaro & Sheamus predicted that, when it came down to it, Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins would turn on each other and cost themselves the Raw Tag Team Titles, but that day didn’t come on Raw. In fact, “The Bar” ironically couldn’t keep their own impromptu alliance together for Team Red’s main-event, an Eight-Man Tag that teamed them, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson against Ambrose, Rollins & The Hardy Boyz.
True, the former champs were initially a well-oiled machine alongside the good brothers, despite fighting them for two straight weeks. They even managed to cut Ambrose off from his allies for almost the entire match. But once Seth Rollins tagged in, all bets were off: The Kingslayer singlehandedly took the fight to both Gallows & Anderson, and a pair of Twists of Fate to The Suntan Biker Man were enough to prompt “The Bar” to call it a day and make their exit. With Anderson left alone in the ring, a unified one-two of Rollins’ ripcord knee and Ambrose’s Dirty Deeds spelled the end of the match, a display of perfect teamwork that nonetheless didn’t seem to shake “The Bar’s” confidence as their title match nears… at least, not yet.

Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose on Commentary
While Sheamus & Cesaro prepared to take on Heath Slater and Rhyno, Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose happily took a spot at the commentary table to survey the ongoing match and discuss their newfound unity. Seth confidently declared that he has no doubts, or uneasy feelings towards the partnership. Ambrose states that he has no ill feelings towards Seth for his past betrayal by simply noting “these things happen.” Seth chuckles and says his partner is a forgiving guy. The two agree that though they have been “at war” in the past, they are stronger and the best when they are together. They note that Sheamus and Cesaro took some time to get along and only became the 2nd or third best tag team out there.
Ambrose confidently proclaims, “the moment we signed on the doted line, those guys were screwed.” The two finally say “this is the bar now.” As Seth stands up and holds his title proudly in the air and their taunt their upcoming No Mercy opponents following the match.
Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose def. Anderson & Gallows
Cesaro & Sheamus showed they’re not slowing down anytime soon with their win over Heath Slater & Rhyno, but Raw Tag Team Champions Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins are right there with them. The champs defeated Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, a move that won’t exactly earn them good-brother status but definitely does wonders for their momentum as their showdown with “The Bar” looms large in the distance.
They might need it, too: Cesaro & Sheamus jaw-jacked with Gallows & Anderson before the match and lurked, stone-faced at ringside for the entire bout … at least until they attempted to interfere.
Rollins used Anderson as a human projectile to thwart the intrusion, rolling his foe up for the win moments later. And then Cesaro & Sheamus surprised everyone by going after the good brothers instead of the champions, getting the better of a brief, but intense fight. Even when their plans go awry, they still set the bar, and might just dictate the pace as well.

Cesaro def. Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins has been jaw-jacking with The Usos all weekend, but he and Dean Ambrose might have a far more present danger to worry about, as The Kingslayer fell to Cesaro in a singles match that pitted one-half of the Raw Tag Team Champions against one-half of the tandem they defeated to win the titles. And it’s all because of the other half of that tandem, as Sheamus forced Rollins to take his eye off the ball by swiping at the ropes while The Architect was preparing to fly. While Ambrose scrapped with The Celtic Warrior on the outside, Cesaro uncorked a home-run uppercut to Rollins that put him down for three. The only person who was happier than Cesaro about the win was Sheamus, who challenged Ambrose to a match on the spot.
Dean Ambrose def. Sheamus
It’s a split series for the current and former Raw Tag Team Champions, as Dean Ambrose knocked off Sheamus just moments after The Alabaster Gladiator’s impromptu challenge to The Lunatic Fringe. The Celctic Warrior was riding high after Cesaro scored a win over Seth Rollins, and The Lunatic Fringe quickly showed his foe that his eyes were bigger than his stomach. Through a series of impressive reversals (that tornado DDT!), some gritty perseverance through a banged-up back and an assist from Rollins — who bailed his partner out of White Noise behind the ref’s back — Ambrose planted Sheamus with Dirty Deeds for the 1-2-3.
