Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose Re-Unite
After a tense couple weeks between the two former Shield members, the two met in the ring at the start of Raw for an equally tense meeting. Seth starts off by accusing Dean Ambrose of lying, Seth believes Dean wants a reunion and he knows Dean realizes they could take over “this place.” Seth then extends his fist, but Dean just glowers at it. He shouts at Seth “are you kidding me?!” Dean rants about Seth making him look like a fool last week after he put himself on the line. Seth tells Dean he understands the mistrust as sometimes he doesn’t even trust himself.
Seth says he knows that perhaps their differences are what made them a powerful team and that they could without a doubt dominate the division, but he also questions whether this reunion is a bad idea. Seth goes to walk out of the ring, but is interrupted by a slap on his shoulder by Dean who now extends his fist to Seth. Seth goes to refuse and walk away, but this sparks a shoving war and soon both men are in a full on fight. They take each other down in the ring and exchange fists, Seth gets up and leaps onto Ambrose’s back and the two end up outside of the ring on the floor. They briefly go after each other on the outside before collapsing and being interrupted by some familiar music. The tag team champions arrive in full force with the intent to destroy the Shield reunion of sorts before it even gets started.
Old habits die hard though, Dean and Seth easily rally to work in tandem to knock both champions out of the ring, and send them packing! Fired up the two celebrate in the ring and stare each other down. They finally shove their fists together in their signature stance! The crowd explodes for the reunion they have been waiting for. Soon after Kurt Angle’s music hits and he announces a match between Seth/Dean vs. The Tag Team Champions. Seth and Dean remain posed fist bumping and grinning ear to ear as Raw goes to commercial break.

Sheamus def. Seth Rollins
Say what you will about Dean Ambrose; the man keeps his promises.
The Lunatic Fringe told Seth Rollins he was done bailing out his former brother-in-arms last week, and he stayed true to his word in emphatic fashion during The Architect’s rematch with Sheamus on Raw. Whereas Rollins surprised the Raw Tag Team Champion last week, The Alabaster Gladiator reversed his fortunes in Round 2, pinning Rollins with a roll-up of his own off an assist from Cesaro.
The cohesive Raw Tag Team Champions proceeded to lay a lengthy beating on Rollins after the match — one that only got worse when they realized that Ambrose would not be coming to the rescue.
Seth Rollins Saves Dean Ambrose
Say what you will about Seth Rollins; he won’t leave a man hanging.
Despite Dean Ambrose refusing to come to The Kingslayer’s aid after his match against Sheamus, Rollins lent Ambrose a hand after The Lunatic Fringe found himself in hot water of his own with the Raw Tag Team Champions. The main difference was that Ambrose had won his match, an epic, scientific affair with Cesaro wherein the two Superstars traded a wide array of old-school holds and locks before they broke out the heavy artillery.
Down to the wire, The Lunatic Fringe won off a roll-up, and when the champs swarmed him, Rollins arrived to drive them back. Ambrose was seemingly won over by The Architect’s actions and offered him the customary Shield fist bump, but Rollins left him high and dry this time around. Turnabout is fair play.

Dean Ambrose Interview Backstage
Seth’s search for camaraderie appears to have run into a significant roadblock, as he tries to no avail to win over Ambrose’s trust. In an interview backstage Dean talks about last week feeling like old times, with he and Seth clearing house. While that felt good and while part of Ambrose wants the duo to reunite, he says it’s not going to happen. When Seth arrives on the scene of the interview, confirming that he felt good about their teamwork last week as well, Dean sternly tells him he has been burned by Seth in the past and it will not happen again. A dejected looking Seth is left to wonder what more he must do to win back his brother.
Following his brief encounter with Dean Ambrose we see Seth wandering the backstage area looking sullen. He runs into the WWE Tag Champion’s Cesaro & Sheamus. The Champion’s launch into a discussion with Seth on why they have risen to the top of the tag team division (despite not liking each other at first), and they scold Seth for throwing all of that away the first time he stabbed Dean in the bank. They joke that Seth should have his own WWE Network show like Ride Along, called “Ride Alone.” Seth chuckles slightly at first, but its clear he is in no mood for people poking fun at him. He angrily shouts at them that if they want to pick a fight “LETS FIGHT THEN.” He challenges one of the two to a match tonight and Sheamus takes up the challenge as the Tag Team Champion’s stalk off down the hall.
Sheamus and Seth’s match was a brief but eventful one following the finish. Seth found himself on the receiving end of Sheamus’s brute force early on in the contest, but he shook it off to try and inflict some of his own punishment. He tries his signature diving leap, which quickly goes wrong and he ends up hung up in the ropes, then slammed into the barricade before the commercial break. Following the break Seth is up on the top rope, but once again to no avail. He trades fists with Sheamus, losing his wrist wraps in the process, and hits him with a massive enziguri that knocks Sheamus out of the ring. Seth follows on the attack and throws him back in the ring. The two trade a series of moves in which Seth ends up with the quick rollup for the pinfall! His victory celebration doesn’t even get started though as Cesaro jumps in on the attack. The two assault Rollins who tries to fight back, but gets overpowered with a massive double team. He is unable to get up and lays clutching his ribs painfully. As the tag team champions are about to leave, laughing about their carnage, Dean Ambrose runs to the ring. Dean tries to lay some punishment on the duo, but ends up falling to the same fate as Rollins.
Seth Rollins meets Dean Ambrose in the Locker Room
After the match, we see Seth and Dean in the locker room area, Seth owes Dean a thank you, but Dean interrupts saying he did not come down to the ring to save Seth. A confused Rollins is left in the dark about Dean’s real intentions and presses him for more information. Dean tells Seth that “he’s always the architect, and he knows all along what Seth’s little plan was. He speculates that Seth launched into a two on one fight so that once he was overpowered, Dean would have to come out and make the save (or risk looking like a terrible person and the bad guy). Seth shakes his head and rubs his face, seemingly speechless as this was not his intention whatsoever. Dean scolds Seth and questions him “if it was you, would you save me?” in so many words, and walks off. Seth is once again left standing with a sullen look on his face, wondering when and if his former brother and he will ever be on the same page.

Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose def. The Miz-tourage
So, can Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins co-exist? Yes! But have they truly moved on from past events? That answer’s a little more complicated.
Despite Ambrose’s vocal distrust of The Kingslayer, the two former Shield members managed to recapture enough of the old magic to outlast The Miz & The Miztourage in Raw’s 2-on-3 Handicap main event. The Lunatic Fringe even came to Rollins’ rescue after Miz and his crew feasted on The Architect for most the match.
The favor was repaid when Seth broke up the pinfall after Miz connected with a potential match-ending Skull-Crushing Finale on Ambrose. Rollins also saved Ambrose from a second Skull-Crushing Finale with a flying knee that teed up Dirty Deeds.
Ambrose, fired up from pinning The Awesome One, allowed a brief post-match embrace from The Architect, though he was still a bit too conflicted to partake in the traditional Shield fist bump, much to Seth’s disappointment. Baby steps, though. Ambrose might just get there yet.

Seth Attempts a Reunion with Dean Ambrose & Miztourage Attacks
Don’t let last week’s unexpected rescue fool you: Dean Ambrose still isn’t down for a mini-Shield reunion with Seth Rollins.
Even after rescuing The Kingslayer from The Miz & The Miztourage last week, The Lunatic Fringe assured his former “brother” that Rollins was simply in the vicinity of his intended target — Miz himself — and his distrust of the former Authority man hasn’t dimmed one bit since Rollins disintegrated The Hounds of Justice three years ago.
Looking to finally put the past in the past, The Architect offered an unprecedented apology to Ambrose and even a free crack with a steel chair, but The Lunatic Fringe couldn’t bring himself to carry out the attack, opting instead to toss his chair from the ring. Miz and The Miztourage had no such qualms, however, surrounding the ring and picking Rollins and Ambrose apart with steel chairs of their own. The numbers game strikes again, but as it turns out, Ambrose and Rollins are OK with that.
When Raw General Manager Kurt Angle offered them a match against any two Miztourage members next week, Ambrose suggested a 2-on-3 Handicap Match against all of them instead. A full-on reunion might not be in the cards, but maybe, just maybe, these two old rivals can make the WWE Universe believe again all the same.
