The Shield vs. Big E Langston and The Rhodes Brothers
Starting off the match, Cody Rhodes has Seth in a compromising position-raised high above his head. He holds Seth up high before slamming him face first into the mat. Both Rhodes brothers follow it up by working on both Seth’s arms. Cody tries to roll Seth up off the corner but it doesn’t work and only gets a two. Cody catches Seth’s feet and hangs him up on the ropes; Seth takes a swift kick to the gut. But Rollins begins to get away from some of the punishment by escaping to the outside. He takes a momentary break trying to escape more harm. Suddenly Cody Rhodes launches himself towards Seth taking them both out of the equation for a while.
At the height of the match Cody Rhodes catches Roman with the disaster kick and chaos unfolds as Ambrose gets flattened by a splash from Big E Langston. Seth tries to save his partner from more harm and gets knocked out of the ring by Goldust. Roman Reigns breaks up the pin-fall situation, narrowly saving Ambrose from getting pinned for three. Seth gets in on a tag from Ambrose and hits the blackout on Big E proving he too is dangerous when provoked. Seth gets the three for the Shield!
All three exit the ringside area arm in arm as Seth says “nothing can stop us!”

The Shield’s Interview/Surrounding Punk
No match this week for the Shield three on TV at SmackDown.
Instead the Shield was featured in a backstage interview! Renee starts off by asking if the Shield will remain undivided during the Royal Rumble match. Dean assures Renee that the Shield is a tight unit and will remain united. When Renee asks Dean if it came down to it would he throw Seth Rollins over the rope, he again says “Do I not look like a trustworthy person to you? …These men are my best friends I could never do that, never.”
Seth Rollins after laughing says “well let’s be real here you couldn’t throw me over the top rope if your life depended on it. But I could toss you over in a second if it meant I got a shot at the main event of Wrestlemania.”
Ambrose then interjects with “Of course I’d throw you over the top rope I was kidding, and you’d go sailing kid, sailing! Work on your landing alright?” Following this little debate Roman Reigns steps in giving both his partners a glance. He then says that he would throw both Rollins and Ambrose over in an instant but regardless one of them will win the World Heavyweight Championship and they will still remain united; they will still be the shield.

Towards the end of the show CM Punk would call out the Shield and soon be surrounded by all three members and the New Age Outlaws. However Kane would interrupt the proceedings and claim that the authority wants to protect CM Punk. He says it will not happen this way. Before can leave Punk calls Kane a 7ft tall sell out and receives a choke-slam for the comment as SmackDown goes off air on that note.

Starting a new weekly thing! Each Tuesday there will be a throwback match posted and for the first one I thought I’d start big! Yes it’s true the three members of the Shield have been in a triple threat match against each other. This was a number one contender match back in FCW!
I also find it pretty hilarious how Seth comes out to response of women screaming like crazy, very rock star for the future champion.

The Shield vs. CM Punk and the New Age Outlaws
Rollins starts of the match against Billy Gunn and both men it’s clear are in great shape. Seth wearing some new long sleeved gear tonight looks to take control in the early going of the match and succeeds. Later on Rollins eggs on teammate Dean Ambrose telling him not “forget about that eye” (referring to CM Punk’s slightly swollen left eye). The match later goes south for CM Punk as he is ready to make a tag but finds no teammates waiting for him the corner. Gunn and Road Dogg exit the ringside area leaving the Shield smirking around the ring. Seth tries to take the first jump at Punk but get’s knocked off the apron. He later comes back to try and take advantage from behind and his flung over the top rope by Punk again.
But the odds catch up to Punk as he tags a spear from Roman Reigns. The Shield wins! After the match just when it appears the Shield is leaving, they decide to reappear and do more damage to Punk with a triple power-bomb.
