Raw Ambrose Asylum Segment – Full Recap
Throughout the evening videos played reminding fans of the legacy that is the “The Shield” and their memorable moments together before the trio met again tonight in the Ambrose Asylum. Ambrose started out with trying to lighten the tension brewing between Reigns and Rollins as the two stared each other down. He playfully nudges Seth to try and get him to reminisce on the crazy adventures they had together. Seth did reminisce a little even telling a story where Ambrose was found behind a dumpster after a night of partying but the mood turned very serious when Seth also reminded everyone of his “betrayal” of his brotherhood. Seth says his favorite Shield moment was when he put a chair in each of their backs and the moment he took away Roman’s moment at WrestleMania.

Reigns tried to call out Seth on his actions, saying Seth betrayed them to be famous and to walk around and say he is the man. “But if you are the man, why do I have this?” Seth angrily confronted Reigns on his comment saying that Reigns only had the title because his knee gave out from carrying the company on his back for the better part of last year. He admitted Reigns earned the title (by beating Ambrose) but he is going to prove he is the best once and for all at MITB. Seth also reminded us he accomplished everything on his own and that Reigns never beat him for the belt.

Ambrose enjoying the confrontation brought up a whole other threat, the one hanging above the ring. He tells his former brothers that he could win the MITB briefcase and whether it is Seth who won or Roman who wins he could take their moment away as well. The Asylum concludes and as predicted a war breaks out in the ring. Seth shoves Ambrose into Reigns angrily and attempts to take out Ambrose. Ambrose tries to take out Rollins but misses. Reigns hits Seth with the superman punch but then gets taken out himself by Dirty Deeds. Ambrose is the only man left standing and glancing upwards towards the MITB briefcase.

This was a quiet night for Seth on the televised portion of Monday Night Raw as he only appeared in the promotional video for his upcoming match vs. Roman at Money In The Bank. The video package highlighted the history between Seth and Roman from the Shield onward to their respective WrestleMania moments. It was an exceptional video package and we’ve included the important captures that are not repeats from elsewhere in our gallery in the link above.

Raw – 5/30/16
So Roman Reigns has Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank, which is great for Seth Rollins, since he never lost the WWE World Heavyweight Title and is willing to do anything and everything to get it back. Reigns wasn’t exactly thrilled at having to wait to get his hands on The Architect, however, so “The Guy” came into the Raw ring and dared “The Man” to mix it up a few weeks early. Despite some pretty hardcore goading that nearly caused Rollins to rush the ring and fight, Rollins held firm and refused to give Reigns what he wanted. After all, what’s an Architect without a plan?

Raw – May 23rd (Opening Segment)
Seth enters the ring to a huge roar of applause as predicted and he stands in the ring soaking in the chants of “Welcome Back!” He asks the crowd if they missed him (we all know the answer to that) and they roar loudly again. He tells the crowd that after 7 long months they have to let him talk because he has been waiting for this moment as well. After the video package plays of Rollins’s surprise attack on Roman Reigns, the crowd erupts into another chant, this time “thank you Rollins”. Seth comments that it is very strange for the crowd to be cheering for him because they weren’t when he attacked Roman Reigns with a steel chair (effectively ending the Shield), when he won the belt they were calling him the weakest champion and for months people begged for people to beat him (even though no one ever could).

Seth recalls how sadly his knee gave out months ago and makes one of the most honest quotes in recent Raw history saying, “My knee buckled under the weight of carrying this company for SO FREAKING LONG!” Continuing his story, Seth recalls receiving flowers and messages of get well Rollins in his hospital bed and tells the crowd that he took all those messages, threw them in a bin and burned them. He makes it clear he doesn’t need to the support of the WWE Universe and never did. “Because there is only room on the Seth Rollins bandwagon for one man, and that man is me.”

Roman Reigns eventually interrupts Seth’s match and just when it looks like a fight might break out at ringside, Seth walks away saying he will only do that on his time because it’s his show. Shane O’Mac enters next and makes the big announcement that Rollins will indeed receive a title match and that he’s sure Roman will understand that. Seth is extremely happy with the decision and we will see the two face off at Money In The Bank!

Backstage Interview with Renee
Seth tells Renee that this time at Money In The Bank he gets to win the WWE Championship not because he’s Mr. MITB but because he is Seth Rollins and he is that damn good. He then gets an extremely excited expression upon seeing Stephanie McMahon beyond the camera field. He goes for a big hug on his old authority buddy but she rejects him. A confused Seth gets told that things are different around here now and so is their business relationship. Stephanie shakes his hand to welcome him back and Rollins with a slightly disgusted face simply says ok and stares after her. This would be the last of Seth Rollins we see on this edition of Raw but we will see him next on ESPN’s Sportscenter for his interview with The Coach.

Seth’s Road to Survivor Series Starts off Rocky
If this 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match was any indication, Survivor Series itself is going to be a long, long night for Seth Rollins. Despite assembling a squad of four champions in Kevin Owens and the full-strength New Day, The Architect’s team fell to the Roman Reigns–captained cadre of Dean Ambrose, Ryback and — surprise! — the returning Usos in the traditional, 5-on-5 elimination-rules rumble that made up Raw’s main event.
Disaster struck out of the gate for Team Rollins when Jey Uso pinned Xavier Woods and Jimmy followed up by eliminating Kofi Kingston. That just left the three former NXT Champions, who quickly evened things up when Big E and Owens beat an Uso apiece. Ryback took out a rampaging Big E with Shell Shocked next and Rollins replied with a Pedigree that ousted The Big Guy. But an errant knee from Rollins landed KO in Ambrose’s Dirty Deeds and left The Architect all alone against his old buddies. He escaped decimation by swinging a steel chair to eat a disqualification, which might have been his best course of action. Sometimes survival means living to fight another day, but those other days are running out fast.
